Defining the Artof Cybersecurity

The 2021 Thales Global Cloud Security Study reported that four of 10 organizations have experienced a cloud-based data breach in the previous 12 months.[1]  Microsoft, Facebook, CNA Financial, and T-Mobile are among the many organizations that suffered a data breach in 2021.[2]

As more businesses shift to the cloud, the greater the concern over the security of their data.

As more businesses shift to the cloud, the greater the concern over the security of their data.

Which brings up the critical question: How secure is your data in the cloud?

You may not be able to make the cloud more secure for your data, but you can make your data more secure for the cloud. ShardSecure’s Microshard technology essentially makes your sensitive data insensitive and undesirable to threat actors by shredding, mixing, and distributing your data automatically to eliminate its value on back-end cloud infrastructure. And it enables your data to be quickly reassembled whenever your authorized users need it. The ShardSecure virtual appliance can be deployed in the cloud or on-premises to ensure the security of your data.

How it works

ShardSecure takes data and breaks it down to the byte level. Data flows from your front-end applications and services to the ShardSecure engine, where it is compressed and shredded into tiny Microshards. Poison data is then added before mixing the Micoshards into multiple containers that do not have file names, extensions, or location information.

The new ShardSecure Microshard containers are streamed to your cloud and on-premises storage locations and can be reassembled and recalled by you at any time. Should any of these cloud locations suffer a security breach, only incomplete and unreadable data is exposed.
